Accent tables are a pretty versatile furnishing and not only are the ideal for putting in that empty corner of yours, they would also be ideal for putting in different areas throughout your home as well. Like, you could pair one up with a sofa or recliner, add one to a foyer area, and even put one at the end of a hallway if you wanted to.
Another nice feature of accent tables along with their beauty is how they are practical. Remember, they are a table and they have lovely, spacious surfaces where you can nicely set down and display pretty much anything that you want from family photos, to vases filled with flowers, and lamps to add extra lighting to your space. There are some that even feature different storage options like drawers, shelves, and cabinets, giving you a nice spot to tuck away books, magazines, remote controls, and even special keepsakes.
Coffee Cocktail Tables: The coffee, or cocktail table, is probably the most functional of the bunch. It is a low table typically placed in front of a sofa where magazines can be placed and coffee or cocktails served. Here, the general rule of thumb is that you should look for a table that is at or about the same height as your sofa or chair seat cushion, but no more than an inch or two shorter as you do not want it to be difficult or uncomfortable for your guests to reach. Another current design trend is to opt for the oversized ottoman as coffee table. By placing a tray on top of an oversized ottoman, you create a more stable surface and an attractive focal point.

You may check out them and ask 'do they still fit with the design style you are moving in the direction of in your home?' Are they still strong enough to do their work?
